"We need to have a clear idea of what we are for, not just against, if our views are to be taken seriously." Michael Harrison

"We need you to help to give a lead on :

  • Where new housing should be built
  • How we are going to increase the number of affordable homes
  • What improvements in infrastructure: roads, schools, health care, shops, transport, will be required
  • Developing ideas for increasing employment opportunities."

"You may be aware that the previous Government's Regional plans could make big changes in Chapel. Large numbers of new houses are being proposed for High Peak over the next 20 years and as things stand many of these will be in Chapel."

"It is important that local residents should be heard before any final decisions are made, and it is vital that they should take the lead to shape their community and its future."

Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council, at present chaired by Liberal Democrat CounillorMike Harrison, are working with Rural Action Derbyshire and have established a new group called 'Chapel Vision' whose aim is to consult with the public so a Development Plan for the Parish can be put together.

Four meetings are being held to identify key priorities and help draw up the Plan:

  1. Combs Village Hall: Monday March 7th
  2. Sparrowpit Institute: Wednesday March 9th
  3. Dove Holes Methodist Church: Thursday March 10th
  4. Chapel Town Hall: Wednesday, March 16th

All meetings will start at 7.15pm and will follow the same format, so you can choose to attend the meeting most convenient for you.

Come along and have your say. This is your chance to get involved and really make a difference.
