Following access problems for the Refuse/Recycling vehicle and Community Transport bus the County Council have proposed new parking restrictions at the top of Bowden Lane. Whilst improvements are welcome these may go too far and affect some local residents unnecessarily. A meeting has been held with the DCC traffic officer to discuss other ways of solving the problem.
"I am awaiting their decision and will keep you informed" said Councillor Mike Harrison.
Hayfield RoadThere are also parking problems where Hayfield Road joins Bowden Lane. Steps have been taken to ensure that parking regulations are properly enforced to make things easier for local residents.
But traffic on the very narrow part of Hayfield Road is still a problem. It has been suggested that a 'One Way' system would help. I want to know your views.
