Tramway Reopened

Edith Longden reports that the tramway from Buxworth to Whitehough has now been resurfaced under the County's 'Greenway' project to encourage people to make more journeys on foot and by bike.
"This is a transformation" said Cllr Edith Longden. "There is now a good firm surface instead of deep mud. I hope it will encourage everyone to make better use of it. It's now much quicker to get to Buxworth from Chinley on foot or by bike"
There is a bid for funding from next year's budget to extend the improvements from Whitehough to Charley Lane.
