I would like to thank everyone who voted for me in the New Mills East Ward.
I know that it was diificult night for all of us but we have to regroup and start the fightback. Specifically we have to start showing the electorate the good that we are doing in the coalition. If that means picking a fight with the Conservatives then thats fine by me. Personally i think we should put all effort into killing off Andrew Lansley's daft NHS reform bill and underlining that it was the Lib Dems that are behind the increase in everyones income tax allowance. It will be a long and difficult path but the fightback starts here. Don't lose heart.
