High Peak Liberal DemocratsNew Mills Town Council are looking to co-opt a new member to fill a single vacancy left following the local elections.
A total of 11 councillors were elected but another councillor is needed to represent residents in the Whitle Ward.
Anyone who would like to be considered should apply in writing to the Town Clerk, New Mills Town Council, Town Hall, New Mills, High Peak, SK22 4AH by May 31.
• Newly elected councillor Alan Barrow has become the Chairman of New Mills Town Council.
The Vice Chairman is Janet Carter with Alistair Stevens Chairman of the Leisure and Park Committee and Andy Bowers Chairman of the Welfare and Administration Committee.
• A letter of thanks is to be sent to former councillors who stood down at the elections.
