High Peak Liberal DemocratsHIGH Peak Borough Council wants residents' views on widening a protective ring around Hayfield to preserve and enhance the character of the area.
The council wants to extend Hayfield Conservation Area to include Fairy Bank Road, Jumble and Cuckoos Nest, Chapel Road and Nut Farm, and the River Sett.
But nothing will happen until the authority has considered the findings of a public consultation which started on Monday and runs to July 4.
A leaflet explaining the proposed boundary changes has been delivered to all properties in the conservation area.
The proposals can also be viewed online at www.highpeak.gov.uk/planning/conservation while hard copies are available in Hayfield Library, Hayfield Parish Council offices, Glossop Library and Glossop Municipal Buildings.
