In response to Cllr Brendan Glynane's article, it is not only libraries but also schools which are unsafe in the hands of the Tories on Northamptonshire County Council.
A local example of this is William Parker School in Daventry, where I have been told there has been no specialist English teacher for most of the last school year. This despite the crucial importance of English in GCSE A-C gradings for all pupils wishing to go on to 6th-form and A Levels
