High Peak Liberal DemocratsLiberal Democrats from across the East Midlands are congregating in Skegness this weekend for their Autumn Conference.
The theme of the conference this year in the words of Nick Clegg, Liberal Democrat Deputy Prime Minister is "Pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and start all over again".
East Midlands Chair, Peter Morris says
"We are looking forward to discussing the implementation of modern methods of communication as practiced by the Obama campaign and their integration into traditional Liberal Democrat campaigning before the County Council elections in 2013 and European Elections in 2014."
East Midlands Liberal Democrat MEP, Bill Newton Dunn, who will be hosting the buffet lunch at the Crown Hotel, Skegness commenting on the Financial Crisis said
"The world financial crisis potentially is the Titanic on which every one of us could go down and we will certainly be discussing the Liberal Democrat approach.
Everyone should understand that - like it or not - their fate is intimately connected with the fate of the euro-zone. As George Osborne says, we Brits want to see a strong federal financial control established in Brussels. So, yes, federalism is to our benefit"
The conference will be followed by The Lincolnshire Liberal Democrats Dinner
