High Peak Liberal DemocratsFollowing hours of negotiations in Brussels, David Cameron has refused to join the EU financial crisis accord. The intergovernmental agreement is designed to bring stability to the Euro currency to combat the current crisis.
A full agreement to bring economic stability to Europe was not possible due to the position of the British Prime Minister at the negotiations.
Bill Newton Dunn, Euro-MP for the East Midlands commented.
"Cameron's veto early this morning of the EU measures to stabilise European finances is a historically damaging mistake. If ever implemented it will seriously damage Britain's long-term interests. We are not an imperial super-power and we need friends. Isolating ourselves is exactly the wrong move. On our own we will have negligible influence and will lose out on investment in new factories from multinationals."
