BREAKING NEWS: Number 3 bus victory for campaigners

Market Rasen Mail reports that cuts planned for the number 3 bus will not go ahead. .
The existing hourly service between Lincoln and Market Rasen has been saved and there will be a bus every two hours from Market Rasen to Grimsby.
The news will come as a massive relief to the hundreds of people who signed petitions around the area.
Stagecoach had wanted to run just five buses a day after a 20 per cent cut in its tax relief on fuel. But the operator has struck a deal with Lincolnshire County Council to save the service.
Lobbying mainly by Guy Grainger and petitions to Lincoln County Council (LCC) finally resulted in the retention of the hourly service on route 3. It became clear that LCC officers were in "do nothing" mode until they were kicked into action by Liberal Democrats not the ruling Tories who are not interested in public transport.
Barry Coward Chairman of Gainsborough Liberal Democrats says: "If bus services are threatened in your part of Lincolnshire then mount a campaign and lobby LCC and you to will win this one. - Guy and I will gladly assist you.
