I've just signed a petition to Asda, asking them to pay their dairy farmers enough to stop them going out of business.

Can you all sign it too? https://secure.38degrees.org.uk/pay-fair-price-Asda

Supermarkets and suppliers have been dropping the price of milk so much recently that many dairy farmers are forced out of business.

Now we've got a chance to change that -- protesting farmers have already got Co-op and Morrisons to raise their prices, now we can persuade Asda to do it too.

Please sign the petition and forward to people you know: https://secure.38degrees.org.uk/pay-fair-price-Asda.

In writing this I speak from personal experience - I spent my intern year milking cows for a Tory MP, MEP and University friend of Margaret Thatcher - that is why I am a Liberal Democrat and still drink 11 pints of Whole milk a week.

Thanks,

Shirley
