Harborough Hospital Phase Two On Schedule

Phil KnowlesHarborough Hospital's next phase is on schedule and will it seems be delivered within the financial plan. That was the excellent news from this weeks Stakeholder meeting. Speaking at the meeting, East Midlands Policy Officer Cllr Phil Knowles who has led the Harborough Hospital Campaign for over twenty years warmly welcomed the update, particularly the assurances he received about the planning and vision that is being put into the project.

Phil says ''Liberal Democrats provided the NHS will a detailed wish list from a survey of the people of Harborough. A survey that achieved over five times the response rate to the PCT surveys at that time. There has been very detailed consideration of the information we provided particularly the transfer of current services to the new site and my call on behalf of the community for the protection and indeed expansion of current services such as MIU, Diagnostic and Xray. Along with this it seems additional services are anticipated at the new facility. I am delighted that there is a hope to incorporate additional Adult and Children's metal services, a Community Nurses hub etc.''
