High Peak Liberal DemocratsLast Thursday 30th August, local MP Mark Hunter visited industrial IT specialist SolutionsPT, to help the company celebrate achieving the Investors in People Gold standard. The company, based in Cheadle Royal Business Park, employs 70 people.
Alongside the "Gold Standard" achievement, the company also gained recognition in The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For list earlier this year. On his visit, Mark discussed how SolutionsPT uses its focus on employee engagement to recruit and retain high quality staff from the area and beyond.
Commenting, Mark said:
"This important local employer is clearly an outstanding firm that has achieved a lot, both for its customers, on behalf of its staff and on behalf of its stakeholders."
"Within ten minutes of entering the SolutionsPT building, I'd already seen the Sunday Times Best Companies logo on display in three or four places,"
"The company's pride in this and the Investors in People standard indicates how seriously they take employee engagement."
Phil Gillard, General Manager at SolutionsPT:
"Mark Hunter's visit to SolutionsPT meant a great deal to all those who worked towards achieving the Investors in People Gold Standard. It was also refreshing to see that political support for our business strategies is at hand and that there is political vision and leadership available to our local community.
"We would like to thank Mr. Hunter for taking the time to meet our people and celebrate our company's successes," - Phil Gillard, General Manager, SolutionsPT.
