High Peak Liberal DemocratsLib Dem Prospective Parliamentary campaigner for Manchester Central was out in Manchester city centre on Sunday protesting against Starbucks refusal to pay its fair share of Corporation Tax. It was recently revealed that in the past three years Starbucks had failed to pay any corporation tax on its earnings despite sales of over £350m in the UK.
"It's a disgrace that Starbucks can get away without paying Corporation Tax in the UK despite being the largest coffee retailer." Said Marc.
"In tough times large corporations have a duty to pay their fair share of tax like other companies and I think Starbucks should be shamed into changing their policy. I hope consumers will also vote with their feet until until they pay up" he added.
