High Peak Liberal DemocratsLocal Hospital Stepping Hill has been given a glowing report from watchdog Care Quality Commission after its recent inspection, news welcomed by Cheadle MP Mark Hunter.
The recent inspection looked at the standards of care in the Hospital, assessing the overall quality of services, examining records and treatments and interviewed patients to hear their experiences at the Hospital.
In the report, Stepping Hill staff were praised for their "excellent" care and it was sated that "patients were very positive about how their care and welfare needs were met. They told us that staff were kind and caring, looked after them well and helped them when they needed."
Commenting, Mark said:
"I want to pay tribute to every member of the dedicated Stepping Hill team for their tireless work which has been shown in this latest report.
"After the incident of last summer I know there was some concern from a number of local residents about the management of medicines at Stepping Hill, but I have never been in any doubt that this was an exceptional case.
"The staff at Stepping Hill deserve our praise and encouragement for their hard work and for maintaining standards after a difficult year."
