Commenting on the news that Starbucks has agreed to pay more corporation tax, Co-Chair of the Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesperson, Stephen Williams said:The Coalition Government this week announced extra investment - £77m a year for each of the next two years - in HMRC to help secure an extra £2bn a year in unpaid tax. This extra investment is on top of the £900m already announced to deliver an extra £7bn a year in unpaid tax.
It was announced in the Autumn Statement that general Anti Abuse Rule will come into force next year.
