Liberal Democrats hold Gainsborough East

Following the sad death of Mel Starkey a by election for his seat on West Lindsey District Council took place on Februray 14th. Our candidate, Gainsborough Town Councillor Mark Binns (41) won on a very small turn out of only 11.44%. The results were :-

BINNS, Mark Anthony (Lib Dem) 169

DEVINE, Mick (Labour) 149

THOMPSON, Howard (UKIP) 143

BUTROID, Richard David (Conservative) 129
