MELLOR PRIMARY VISIT WESTMINSTER

February 19, 2013 1:48 PM

Andrew Stunell MP welcomed Mellor Primary School on their visit to Westminster recently.

A class full of 20+ Mellor children made a day trip out to Westminster, they got a tour of the Palace, sat in on a debate and took part in some interactive activities that the Education Centre put on for them on the Parliamentary estate.

Commenting, Andrew said -

"I was delighted to welcome Mellor Primary to Westminster. They thoroughly enjoyed their trip and when I was speaking to the children at the end of their workshop I was very impressed with what they had learnt on that day about how Parliament works. Their Head teacher even told me that some of the children are now considering running for Parliament when they grow up!"

"It would be fantastic if more Stockport schools came down to visit to see how and where their country is run, if any schools are interested please do contact my office on 0161 406 7070".
