High Peak Liberal DemocratsLast Friday 22nd February local MP Mark Hunter paid his latest visit to Outwood Primary School in Heald Green after being invited for an exclusive interview for the School's yearbook by year 6 pupils.
After meeting with Head Teacher, Paul Cunningham, Mr Hunter was interviewed by the School's "News Committee". Mark was asked a range of questions by the pupils, who had recently been learning about parliament and democracy in their citizenship lessons.
Commenting, Mark said:
"It was a pleasure to meet with Outwood Primary pupils again and contribute to their yearbook in this way.
"Learning about citizenship and democracy is absolutely vital - these are tomorrow's leaders we are talking about after all.
"Paul Cunningham and his team at Outwood are clearly doing a great job and it really showed in both the attitude and intelligence of the children on the day."
