High Peak Liberal DemocratsThe Open Meeting of the 50+ group yesterday learnt that apparently, with no public consultation Langley Mill station will be closed during the school holidays, to allow for work at Nottingham Station.
Alfreton, will be the nearest viable station.
There is no information as to whether there will be a replacement bus service.
Also, there may be removal of services which will be given to Ilkeston, as they are to have a new Station.
Northern Trains and East Midlands Trains may refuse to replace the services.
Information has gone only to the current MP Nigel Mills, the Parish Council of Aldercar and Langley Mill, and the Town Council of Heanor and Loscoe. I expect the Borough Council of Amber Valley have had notice.
I wonder if the Councils of Broxtowe and Eastwood have also been informed, as they were part of the original group for the replacement station in its present place.
Unfortunately for the 50+ group, there has been no communication from the MP.
