High Peak Liberal Democrats
Whilst campaigning in Corby Rural I picked up this leaflet from UKIP - it was lying on the pavement I hasten to add.
And I just wondered: We, in East Midlands, decided NOT to use European issues in the local elections? Reading UKIP leaflet I am asking myself why not? Why not expose the conservative 'Euro-waste'? Why not to challenge UKIP?
Also we need a catchphrase to expose UKIP: There are 21 million Romanians, 8 million Bulgarians; the concept that in these two countries, all the people living there, will up-stick themselves and move to the UK is laughable. But reason on its own is not enough. We need a motive. I liked the previous posting on the East Midlands website: a dosing MEP caught "U-kipping" in the parliament. That has the right 'ring to it'. Any idea anybody to combat silly immigration claims?
And here is a reminder of U-kipping MEP Roger Helmer at work and earning his expenses in the European Parliament
