Job Details:

The Liberal Democrats are looking for a talented Visits and Events Manager to plan and organise a national programme of Party political visits and events for the Leader of the Party and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and to coordinate the Party political visits activity of other Ministers and senior Party figures.

The successful candidate will have sound political judgement, be extremely efficient and well organised, be creative with a good eye for visuals, and have the confidence to work on their own initiative. Experience of arranging high profile visits and events, preparing operational notes and media briefings and handling the press is essential for this role.

Key responsibilities:
1. Managing Nick Clegg's political visits as Leader of the Liberal Democrats. 2. Coordinating a year round programme of wider visits activity for other senior Liberal Democrat figures (including Ministers) that will support the Party's communications, internal engagement, fundraising and campaigning needs. 3. Responsibility for coordinating the Party Leader's conference schedule.

Key requirements include:
1. Sound political judgement. 2. Extremely strong organisational ability. 3. Experience of arranging high profile visits and events. 4. Experience of preparing briefing material. 5. Understanding of and experience of political campaigning. 6. Commitment to demanding and unsocial hours. 7. Ability to represent the Deputy Prime Minister to a wide range of stakeholders. 8. A strong commitment to and understanding of the aims and values of the Liberal Democrats.
