Willie Rennie MSP has welcomed the Equal Marriage Bill before the Scottish Parliament
Commenting on the presentation of a bill to allow equal marriage in Scotland before the Scottish Parliament, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP said:
"Scottish Liberal Democrats look forward to working across Parliament to ensure the swift and effective passage of this legislation. This is a great day for the LGBT community and signals an important, natural step towards the fairer Scotland we all wish to see."
LGBT+ Lib Dems chair Adrian Trett added, "As with the Westminster Bill we will seek to work with our Scottish Parliamentarians to improve this Bill in line with Liberal Democrat policy, to make sure we get the best legislation possible."
