Mark Hunter MP visits Seashell Trust

Local Cheadle MP, Mark Hunter, has just paid his latest visit to the Seashell Trust (formerly the Royal School for the Deaf).

The Trust, based on Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme, is a world-renowned centre of excellence and cares for children with the most profound disabilities. It provides education and residential care for people with complex physical, sensory and communication difficulties from across the UK.

Mark Hunter, accompanying Children & Families Minister, Ed Timpson, was shown around by Chief Executive and Principal Mark Geraghty and other senior staff and was again impressed by what he saw.

Commenting just after his visit Mark said: "I never fail to be impressed by the good work that goes on here. The staff really do a super job in challenging and difficult circumstances and deserve great credit for the difference they can male to these young lives."

"As a regular visitor to the charity, I am fully supportive of their development plans as the Trust looks to expand its facilities and help even more youngsters."

"Mark takes a very keen interest in the work of Seashell and the welfare of the children and young adults in our care and takes every opportunity to act as an ambassador for the charity amongst his fellow Parliamentarians."
