“STOCKPORT KIDS - TAKE ON THE CREEPY SUMMER READING CHALLENGE!”
A spooky challenge to local children to write their own ghost stories attracted the attention of Andrew Stunell MP in Westminster recently.
The aim of the 'Creepy House Summer Reading Challenge' is to encourage children to read more this summer and use their imaginations to create their own stories.
Commenting, Andrew said -
"I was faced with a great pile of spooky children's books and told to help myself! I think my days of ghost writing are past, but it's a great plan to get children back to reading books, and using their brains in a light-hearted way."
Andrew says his own summer reading is more likely to be catching up on his paperwork, but hopes to fit in something a bit more relaxed. "But no ghost stories" he adds.
