Commenting, Andrew Stunell MP said -
"I'm delighted to see another 100 Stockport young people starting their training and learning skills. It is a huge boost for them, and for the companies that will benefit from their enthusiasm and energy. My thanks to all the employers who have rallied round, and to the Council which gave me enthusiastic support when I approached them to double the size of their original plans.
The hundred days isn't over yet, and I know that Alison Cresswell, the Council's Head of Participation and Education Services, will be going flat out to encourage local firms to recruit another 100 before our campaign is over!
There's a lot of support and cash available for employers taking on a new apprentice, and I recommend anyone who wants to know more to call Alison and ask for details."
