Morsbag in with Bill Newton Dunn in Brussels
The Market Harborough Morsbag presented to Cllr Phil Knowles a few weeks ago has now arrived at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Phil Knowles was a Special Guest at the Celebration for the 4000th bag produced in Market Harborough and promised to pass the bag on to East Midlands Liberal Democrat MEP Bill Newton Dunn who is pictured with the bag in the European Parliament.
Bill Newton Dunn said:
''The 4000 reusable bags produced in Market Harborough make a significant contribution to the environment. The bags are produced and given to the community free of charge.
The Morsbags must have directly contributed to the reduction in use of tens of thousands of plastic bags. Those involved in the production must be both thanked and commended'
