High Peak Liberal DemocratsLocal MP Andrew Stunell backed Healthwatch Stockport's latest project on hearing aids, following an introductory meeting in Stockport recently.
The Healthwatch project, called It's in the Drawer, looks at the use of hearing aids and the reasons why people may not use them.
Commenting, Andrew said - "As a hearing aid user myself, this is a subject of much interest to me. I will be anticipating the results of the survey and seeing how it helps to improve the lives of hearing aid users in Stockport."
John Leach, Chair of Healthwatch Stockport said, "We are extremely happy to have this support from Mr Stunell."
It's in the Drawer aims to use the findings to allow more people to use their hearing aids properly - an improvement for deaf and hard of hearing patients in Stockport.
The project was launched following feedback from friends, family, and the local community on issues arising on the use of hearing aids.
The questionnaire runs until 16th December this year and is available online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/inthedrawer or by calling Healthwatch Stockport on 0161 477 8479.
