The European Campaign on the streets in Chesterfield

East Midlands European Spokesperson Phil Knowles was in Chesterfield over the weekend in support of Chesterfield PPC Julia Cambridge and took the opportunity to take the Lib Dem European Message onto the streets and doorsteps of Chesterfield.

Speaking after the event Phil Knowles said

'' I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit Chesterfield to support and work along side Julia. She is an outstanding PPC. I was so grateful for the warm welcome from her team, they are working so hard and we owe them our sincere thanks. ''

On the subject of the upcoming European Elections Phil Knowles said he had relished the opportunity to chat face to face with so many members of the community, to listen to their views and to explain in detail the Liberal Democrat message . '' In Europe? In Work? - With little exception their was an acceptance that pulling out of Europe could put up to 3.5 million jobs at risk, maybe even more.
