MP URGES STOCKPORT MUSICIANS AND FILM-MAKERS TO ENTER ‘ROCK THE HOUSE’ COMPETITION
Andrew Stunell MP calls for Stockport musicians and film makers to enter Parliament's largest competitions, Rock the House and Film the House.
Both competitions offer the opportunity for Stockport's creatives to have their work judged by the leading lights of industry and win prizes ranging from festival slots, studio time, equipment, and the opportunity to have your work premiered in London's West End to name a few!
Andrew Stunell MP said -
"I very much hope we can get more entries from Stockport, in this year. There's a brand new film competition as well, so I'm looking for all those producers of youtube clips to step forward as well this time."
"Stockport missed out on the prizes last time, but win or lose it's great fun, and could be just what gives a budding musician or film maker the boost they need to make the big breakthrough."
Lisa Smart, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Hazel Grove, commented -
"I've seen firsthand how much talent is in Stockport, so this competition really is right up Stockport's street! I'd really encourage all the creative and talented people in Stockport to get involved with this - it'd be great to see a Stockport based musician or film producer showcasing their talent in Parliament!"
Rock legend and actor, Alice Cooper said -
"Rock the House is a great project which celebrates the fantastic diversity of the British music scene and gives musicians a vehicle through which to hold their legislators accountable about protecting the music industry's intellectual property."
