High Peak Liberal DemocratsSouthport MP John Pugh's initiative to make the town dementia friendly has attracted people from across the spectrum including service providers, health officials, and carers. A packed November meeting of interested parties gave the campaign a powerful launch.
The vision behind the project is to make Southport dementia services accessible and inclusive and for the public to have the opportunity to have their say on how services should be delivered. It was hoped too with many organisations sharing experiences that gaps in services to vulnerable dementia services could be identified.
