Issan Ghazni joined local activists for a Christmas social event recently with a focus on promoting awareness about the Euro campaign.
The Nottingham City party has plans to deliver 30,000 Euro-Surveys to the public for the forthcoming Euro-elections in May 2014. They also donated £500 to the campaign.
Issan Ghazni said: "It was a pleasure to attend the event for an enjoyable debate about Europe... and for their Christmas minced pies and Euro dishes!
"Nottingham has done extremely well engaging with voters over the issue of Europe which helps improve awareness of the economic benefits of being in Europe. It's a great way of engaging with the public.
"Feedback from the Euro-Surveys also helps inform the way we campaign by knowing which issues to tackle first when combating negative perceptions about the EU and tabloid myths."
Barbara Pearce, Chair of the Nottingham City Lib Dems, thanked Issan Ghazni for his part in the Euro campaign by meeting with local parties and helping their efforts.
Issan Ghazni added: "I am delighted that Nottingham has donated to the campaign and I know that we are continuing to fundraise.
"It is vital we get Bill Newton-Dunn re-elected as our MEP. He works hard for our interests in Europe and has one of the best attendance records.
"With Bill we know the East Midlands has a fantastic champion who will keep pushing so that the region benefits from the jobs Europe can bring."
