Ghazni said: "Many of the local residents in Hinckley and Bosworth we spoke to were still undecided about the Euro election so there is all to play for.
"People have been exposed to a lot of anti-Europe propaganda but despite this there is a great deal of concern about the risks of pulling out of Europe. When we spoke about how many East Midlands jobs depend on trade with Europe many voters appreciate this.
"It is not difficult to counter the negative myths; we have to get out onto the doorsteps and meet people, giving them the facts."
Ghazni met Michael Mullaney, the UK parliamentary candidate in the target seat of Hinckley and Bosworth.
He praised Mullaney on being an excellent candidate, and Stuart Bray, the regional campaigns coordinator, for leading such a high profile and active parliamentary campaign in a seat where there is a great chance of winning.
Ghazni stressed how important it was to re-elect Bill Newton-Dunn as MEP so he can continue to fight for European investment to create jobs in the region.
And he urged all local parties in the region to take up Bill Newton Dunn's offer of free Euro-surveys so that members can ask voters a set of questions which included one on the European Referendum and people's views on voting intentions.
He also said more fundraising and telephone canvassing was needed, and offered to help any local party that wanted to do more.
