High Peak Liberal Democrats
In his second visit to Amber Valley as an MEP candidate Ghazni promoted the message 'In Europe, In Work' to underline the importance of trade to the East Midlands regional economy and why it was so important that Bill Newton-Dunn is re-elected.
He paid tribute to the drive and leadership of campaigner Kate Smith and the local membership who were committed to the Euro campaign.
Ghazni said: "Bill Newton Dunn is a hard-working MEP who fights for the East Midlands in Europe and helps ensure the region benefits from investment to create jobs.
"UKIP and the Tories want to take us out of Europe. Only the Liberal Democrats want to keep us in Europe with all the benefits that brings to the regional economy.
"I am very impressed by Kate Smith and the local team in Amber Valley who are knocking on doors and spreading this important message."
Ghazni offered to help any local party in the East Midlands, and said that fundraising and telephone canvassing would play a vital role in the run-up to the May 2014 election.
He urged all local parties in the region to take up Bill Newton Dunn's offer of free Euro-surveys so that members can ask votes a set of questions which included one on the European Referendum and people's views on voting intentions.
