Phil Knowles with the team in Oadby and Wigston
An early start for Phil Knowles collecting leaflets in Bosworth
Liberal Democrats have been taking part in a variety of events across the East Midlands in support of the Liberal Democrat party Action Day.
East Midlands European Spokesperson - Cllr Phil Knowles was out and about in the south of the region in support of Liberal Democrat teams of Activists and Councillors.
Starting in Hinkley & Bosworth with a wide spread leaftlet drop in support of the upcoming European vote Phil Knowles moved on to Oadby & Wigston where the Lib Dems had been hitting the doorsteps with a petition in support of the Liberal Democrat Income Tax Cut proposals.
As the Oadby & Wigston event closed Cllr Knowles moved on, finishing the day with the team in Market Harborough at a meet and greet surgery.
Speaking after the completion of the Action Day events Phil Knowles said:
'' It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to support our teams and to have the chance to meet many members of the community face to face.
" It is vitally important that we take each and every opportunity to connect with the community, to share with them our views but importantly it gives us the chance to hear directly from them of their concerns and aspirations''
