European Fund Raiser a Great Success

Two of the East Midlands European Team were in Leicester on Friday evening to join in with and support Leicester City Liberal Democrats European Fundraising Event.
Leicester City treasurer, Scott Kennedy-Lount presents a cheque for £250 to Euro Candidate Phil Knowles
Cllr Phil Knowles and George Smid joined over 40 members and non members for a quiz night, buffet and European Question & Answer Session. The evening was hailed as a great success with Phil & George being presented with a cheque for £250 by Leicester City Treasurer Scott Kennedy-Lount
Speaking at the event Phil Knowles and George Smid thanked all who had made the evening such a great success especially Leicester City Chair Parmjit Singh Gill, Joan Garrity, Juliet Gill and Scott Kennedy Lount .
The duo also added their appreciation and that of the whole of the European Team for the tremendous support given by the Leicester City Team.
Regional Chair Tony Rogers who along with Regional Vice Chair Barbara Pearce had travelled to attend the evenings event, added his thanks for all the hard work by the Leicester City Members
Special guest at the event was the well known Liberal Democrat Blogger - Lord Bonkers who provided a light hearted take on the world of politics as part of the interval entertainment.
Speaking after the event Scott thanked everyone for attending and reported a profit on the evening. He also confirmed that the cheque for £250.00 had been posted to the Regional Treasurer Peter Morris
