European Candidate Issan Ghazni recently met with Khadija Amer Shareef who is the fund raiser for Shama Women's Group - located in the heart of the Asian communities of Leicester.
It is a vibrant and busy organisation serving thousands of local Asian women and their families. The project has been helped by European Social Fund and European Regional Development Fund monies.
Issan said "The Shama Women's Group supports unemployed women to train and get back into work within local industries. This is an excellent example of how the European Union is helping to regenerate the British economy through promoting training and boosting jobs in inner city communities."
