A prominent member of UKIP's youth movement, 21 year old Ms Sanya-Jeet Thandi, resigned today accusing UKIP of descending into racist populism to try and attract the racist vote by putting out anti-immigrant posters. She criticised UKIP for trying to exploit ignorance in British society.
Deborah Newton-Cook said:
"I welcome Ms.Thandi's courage in saying the truth. We have long known of UKIP's racist tendencies, but this year the Party is getting much worse".
"It is just not true that we are being invaded by Romanians and Bulgarians".
"If you ask pea farmers in Lincolnshire who will get up at 04h00 and work until 22h00 every day until the harvest is in, it is the Latvians, Estonians and Lithuanians".
Deborah added:
"I would like our British workers to apply for jobs in the horticultural sector. But they do not".
"Our Lincolnshire farmers have to work to very strict contractual agreements, and if the pea harvest is not done in time these farmers will go out of business".
