High Peak Liberal DemocratsThey met a number of local residents and talked about the importance of the EU to Derby's businesses and also the local economy in Derby.
Issan Ghazni said "Whether it's in the European Parliament or the Derby City Council chamber it's the Lib Dems who work hardest for local residents and businesses. Please cast your votes on the 22nd for the Liberal Democrats in both elections."
Lucy Care added "Liberal Democrats are keen that decisions are taken as local to people as practical to be most effective. In many cases this is by the local council or the government in London. But in a global economy, some decisions are best taken over a wider area. For example, it is important that decent employment conditions that we taken for granted - like meal breaks or safety practices - are provided widely. Rules on these ensure that businesses have a level playing field, and workers aren't moving countries just for adequate working conditions."
