The way forward for our party

Today I spoke to Liberal Democrat supporters about the way forward for our party.

We made a tough decision in 2010 to put the country before the party and provide Britain with a stable government in extraordinarily tough times. Millions of people have kept their jobs because of us and the economy is back on track.

But people aren't going to vote for us based on of our actions in 2010. They're going to vote for us based on what we offer them in the remainder of this parliament and beyond.

Some people believe we've lost our soul. That we're in power for power's sake. That we've given up our values. None of this is true.

We're in power for one reason and one reason only: to advance our liberal values for Britain.

And what we offer Britain is something different from Labour and the Conservatives.
