Michael Mullaney at Autumn Conference 2014Bosworth's MP David Tredinnick has been challenged to set out his position on MPs pay rises.

It follows an interview on Channel 4 News in which he refused to answer whether he would accept a 10% pay rise.

His Liberal Democrat rival, Hinckley Councillor Michael Mullaney said "If I'm elected Bosworth's MP in May I will refuse to take the entirely unacceptable MPs pay rise. I challenge Mr Tredinnick to state what his position on the pay rise is.

"Mr Tredinnick supports 1% low wage rises for other public sector workers but refuses to rule out massively inflation busting pay increases for himself. MPs like David Tredinnick need to learn the lesson of public anger and live within their means as the people they are meant to serve do."
