"Congratulations to Tony. I know he will guide the local party to continued success".
At the Derbyshire Liberal Democrat's AGM on Saturday Tony Rogers was elected as the chair and immediately set out his hopes for the future:
"We go forward to the General Election building on the success of the past five years in Government. We have a strong group ready to take on all the challenges needed to succeed in Derbyshire".
"Above all we are here to help and be the party for ordinary people. Just like the Liberal Beveridge who built the modern welfare system, we, as Liberal Democrats will continue to put ordinary people first".
