High Peak Liberal Democrats

Approx 290 members from across the East Midlands packed the Hustings Event in Nottingham on Monday evening as Lib Dems approach the deadline for casting their votes, votes that will determine who the new Leader of the Party will be, Tim Farron or Norman Lamb.

In a packed auditorium Members listened as both Tim Farron and Norman Lamb outlined their hopes, aspirations and visions for reconnecting with the wider community and rebuilding the Party. The two men then took questions from the audience on a wide range of subjects from the NHS and the EU to identifying the key issues that are most important to voters across the Country.

Speaking after the event Cllr Phil Knowles, Vice Chair of the Region said ''This was a fantastically well attended event, hugely well supported by members from across the Region, new members and members who have been with the party for quite some time. The evening was full of enthusiasm, determination and a commitment to rebuild the Party.
