East Midlands Councillor promotes Lib Dem Fightback on BBC Politics Show
Liberal Democrat county councillor and parliamentary candidate for Bosworth, Michael Mullaney, appeared on this week's edition of the East Midlands Politics Show.
During the show Michael spoke about the Lib Dem fightback that is underway: with 20,000 new members nationally joining since May, including many in the East Midlands region; the record turnout at the recent national conference; and a string of council by-election wins.
He also spoke on the subject of the proposals to cut back fire services in Leicestershire which will see the closure of two fire stations in the county, the loss of 11 fire engines and many firefighters jobs being lost. Lib Dems in the county were the only party to oppose the cuts.
