Chairs Meeting with Region Hailed as a Great Success
Constituency Chairs from across the East Midlands Region were in Leicester on Saturday for a meeting with Regional Chair Phil Smith, Vice Chair Cllr Phil Knowles and Secretary Jonathan Sneade. The meeting has been hailed as a great success by the Regional Chair and it has been confirmed that this will be the first of what will be a series of such meetings.
''It was an opportunity to hear directly from the Constituency Chairs and Constituency Representatives, to look at and share ideas on the Regional Structure and to commence the discussion on what the Constituencies need/hope to see from Region.
It was also an opportunity for my Vice Chairman Cllr Phil Knowles, to brief the meeting on the upcoming European Referendum. Phil Knowles outlined the latest campaign information we have from London and took the chance to underline the importance of the role that the Constituencies will have to play in ensuring we win the Campaign securing the UK's future within the EU'' - Phil Smith
