Long Serving Councillor Dies
Liberal Democrats in Leicestershire have been shocked at the sad news of the death of Cllr Peter Callis. For well over 20 years he served the community both as a County Councillor and District Councillor.
Leading the tributes, Leader of the Liberal Democrats on Harborough District Council, Cllr Phil Knowles said ''Pete was a true community councillor, never slow to react when a voice was needed to speak out on behalf of the residents, quick to respond to the worries, concerns and calls for help by the less fortunate. Pete will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time''.
