High Peak Liberal DemocratsAs Lib Dems we deal with a variety of issues on the doorstep - some local, some national. Tim Farron said in his leadership speech "We've been good at saying what we're not, but not so good at communicating who we ARE". How can Conference help?
"I recently attended the National Lib Dem Conference for the first time. It was brilliant to get together with other liberal thinking people, sharing ideas . I was really keen to hear our leaders speak and gain some clarity of thought around our policies. Tim Farron was inspirational - enthusiastic, passionate, genuine and very inspiring.
Often we know what Liberal Policy is "not" - coming to Conference helps us to be clear on what it is. It can help us be clear on what we have and do achieve as Liberal Democrats. It can help us all to better articulate our policy and to know why it is different from and better than the others.
Conference can provide opportunities for training and ideas and nearly always leaves you feeling enthusiastic and ready to try new things with confidence.
