Lib Dem President: “I was disappointed that Chris [Rennard] put himself forward for election”
Originally published by South Lincolnshire Liberal Democrats
"Personally I am disappointed that Chris put himself forward for election (and was elected) as I know that there are still extremely strong feelings about the case amongst the members of the party. It won't surprise you to know that I did not vote for him."
She went on to solicit the views of party members on the issue:
"Many members of the party have been in touch with me today and I'm sure we will want to discuss this at our next meeting. As a member of the Federal Executive I would also like to know your opinion, and discuss any thoughts you may have."
