Slavery in Lincolnshire

Many of you may not have seen the report on the Sunday Politics show for East Yorkshire on the issue of slavery in the agricultural & horticultural sectors in South Lincolnshire. This report also touches on why the Gangmaster Licensing Authority needs stronger teeth to crack down on those who break the rules in this way.

Is it not time that we should be encouraging further education of, and integration with those who have chosen to come to work & live within the area? I have become increasing concerned that in the communities within the Lincolnshire Fens we are seeing communities within communities develop. This is of course what UKIP exploit, but the engagement of low paid migrant workers was surely just a solution to the prsssures that the supply chain face from supermarkets & ultimately the consumer on prices.
