Congratulations to long-standing Liberal Democrat member Laura Davies who starts in the new year in the new role as Director of People. This new post is part of "Director of People" is an amusingly illiberal title if taken literally… what it means in terms of the Liberal Democrat HQ restructure is a responsibility for areas such as membership, volunteering, training and diversity, rather than campaigning, policy or press. "Director of People" is the sort of job title which is common in some walks of life, such as the voluntary sector, though new to the Liberal Democrats.
Many years back Laura was Head of Office for Liberal Democrat Youth & Students (Liberal Youth as was) before a series of jobs in the commercial and NGO sectors.
